What Happens When I Wake Up at 4am (for no reason)


So this was my first attempt to open and eat a young coconut. Apparently young coconuts are all the rage in the raw food world but their impenetrable shell intimidated me. Until that is, I saw this video. It inspired me to visit my local Whole Foods, grab my big knife, and go for it. However, I also learned that a week may be too long to let a young coconut sit without refrigerating, as indicated by the purple meat and brown coconut water. And since I get food poisoning from just looking at rotten food, I decided to pass on eating my hard earned young coconut and just chalk it all up to a learning experience.
